Today is the last day for the Y6 Bloggers so they are having a party to celebrate their time at bloggers. Also, it is a very emotional time as all the year 6’s are leaving for high school. Even though its scary, its exciting at the same time. They are currently practising very hard for their Leavers Production 2015 about The Jungle Book! For the next couple of weeks year 6 should sit back and relax. Do you agree?
Good luck year 6!

Today 3L performed an excellent assembly all about superheroes! It included lots of humour that made everyone laugh. It was all about pupils getting stuck on their homework, not even superheros could help! But eventually a class who understood the homework helped the people to understand it. Some of the class where dressed in superhero costumes! Most people dislike homework so the assembly gave people some great advice on how to finish it on time. All the audience loved the performance and wanted it to carry on!
Did you watch the assembly? If you did, did you like it? Did you know that we can all be Heroes if we just help each other?
Today, 6KW worked with K’nex to make their very own Rollercoasters! They had to be very creative and willing as this activity was HARD! Altogether it took 2 whole hours to make a finished roller coaster that was presentable. It took a lot of teamwork too. Also for the past few weeks we have been designing our own theme parks with £500,000 to spend. We had a list full of things to include like
Major roller coaster 10 (squares) £50,000
and so on. Then we did maths work on it such as how much money we would earn from people coming in and what people bought from food stalls/gift shops.
We have loved this project!

Throughout the week, an amazing comic artist came in and taught us how to draw and inspired us too! Kev has drawn pictures for Beano before and he is very talented at drawing! We all made our own characters (or used ones from cartoons) and made our own comics. Then, he drew the front cover of our big comic where all of our characters and comics went in. After that, we all drew little symbols on the cover whilst he drew a portrait of each of us! Everyone in the school loved Kev and wish he could come to our school again!
Today, after a very (very) long week, the SATs came to a end. We can now have a well-earned rest after all the hard work we have put in. We celebrated by cheering and charging out of the hall onto the top playground! Hopefully, we will all get the levels we are wanting – we’d be very happy if we did! Now we can sit back and relax over the weekend. We asked fellow blogger Rebecca what her favourite and least favourite SATs where, she said: “My favourite SAT was GPS in general and my least favourite subject was the level six reading.”
Well done Year 6

Today 2G performed an amazing assembly that taught the audience quite a lot about animals and their habitats. They also talked about a story that they had been learning about called ‘Lost and Found’. They told us lots of interesting facts about Antarctica too!
Miss Gardner said “They were all fantastic and spoke very clearly! A big well done!”
Soon yr6 will be put through SATS! Its getting very close, that means that yr6 have to work the hardest they ever have (that’s a lot). Its 24 days including weekends and 15 days not including weekends. The levels they get will pass through into highschool where they will take another test. Good luck year 6! Which test are you most excited about?

This week year 6 had a Science Week. We have done various activities such as; making healthy and junk posters, tasting herbs, map work and guessing, writing a debate about healthy and unhealthy foods and finding out what the calories where in different foods.
We found out there are many different herbs that get put inside foods that we eat every day including: Dill, Coriander, Sage, Chives, Cumin and Thyme. We had a tasting session to sample them all. These were mostly strong tasting and didn’t taste very nice.
We learnt a lot about healthy and junk foods from writing a debate and making a poster about them (we are experts now!).
Did you learn anything about science this week? If you did, then what about?
In year 6 we are very; excited, worried and sad. All because of one reason – SATS! It is currently 24 school days until Sats, so we are all practising very hard to get the well earned levels that we want! Everyone is being very supportive with us (especially the teachers). Wish us luck!
Have you had Sats before? If you have, then make sure to tell us and give us any tips by leaving a comment below!
Today (13th March) was Red Nose Day so we had a very special assembly that was very enjoyable! Mrs Hall got all the people who made a good effort to make their faces ‘funny for money’. People really enjoyed this! Soon after she got 4 teachers, chose 4 pupils and finally got them to paint the teachers faces (they all looked very silly).
At the end we had a very special surprise………. a funny video of all of the staff dancing. It was sooooooo funny! Everyone really laughed at it!
At lunchtime, Mandy and her team made us a Red Lunch!
